Drawing
These Three steps will get ya through any set of drawings.
Trimming type trim > enter will select all > trim away
Lineweight > in layer
A4 0.09 - 0.3
Structural lines should be most vivid. There is a hierarchy guidelines and reference lines should be less opaque or lighter weight, to add depth.
Hatching > click H > options > click add pick points > select which ones you want to convert > enter > select hatching

Advanced Modelling_ terrain + arrays
GIS viewer
print out site for sketching on - Bitmap(pixel image) Go to globe > print or copy map > print scale as... > map size a4 a3 > portrait or landscape > print to pdf (make sure to turn off pop up block)
extracting data > autocad dxf > tick CRS parcel (boundary/ property line) > tick contours
Rhino
Doc Setup > Options (gear icon) > in document properties- grid extents 1000> minor 1.0 > major lines every 10
Importing > make sure file types (all) are available
Moving imported stuff to the grid > ctr A > move tool > point to move from click center > point to move to = 0 > re-align viewpoint
Creating Contour Solid > Select contours > rhino terrain > terrain > create > triangulated mesh > click accept in the command bar (this sets the plaster mold we've made to instant dry)
Cropping triangulated surfaces from contours > Rhino Terrain > terrain > terrain > edit > clip
Creating casts Surface from 3 or 4 corner points > bring out menu > drape > spacing indicated in the command bar sits at 5 - change that to 1> draw square around target area > enter
Creating 3D print file! Cut the cast with a cylinder > cut the cylinder with the nurv contour > delete the top portion (excess) > join the bottom cylinder w/ the contour > cap planar holes
NEXT WEEKS TICKS
one page, two renders
1) walking towards pavilion names: perspective 01 + perspective 02
2) looking out from the pavilion
1:200 section of pavillion (ground hatching -heavy v.s. building = lighter )
int + ext renders
KT
Array - copying; to take that further you can copy and have the copies follow a curve.
