print out site for sketching on - Bitmap(pixel image) Go to globe > print or copy map > print scale as... > map size a4 a3 > portrait or landscape > print to pdf (make sure to turn off pop up block)
extracting data > autocad dxf > tick CRS parcel (boundary/ property line) > tick contours
Rhino
Doc Setup > Options (gear icon) > in document properties- grid extents 1000> minor 1.0 > major lines every 10
Importing > make sure file types (all) are available
Moving imported stuff to the grid > ctr A > move tool > point to move from click center > point to move to = 0 > re-align viewpoint
Creating Contour Solid > Select contours > rhino terrain > terrain > create > triangulated mesh > click accept in the command bar (this sets the plaster mold we've made to instant dry)
Cropping triangulated surfaces from contours > Rhino Terrain > terrain > terrain > edit > clip
Creating casts Surface from 3 or 4 corner points > bring out menu > drape > spacing indicated in the command bar sits at 5 - change that to 1> draw square around target area > enter
Creating 3D print file! Cut the cast with a cylinder > cut the cylinder with the nurv contour > delete the top portion (excess) > join the bottom cylinder w/ the contour > cap planar holes
